Quartet experience (if applicable): I sang with my first quartet, Reckon So, for 6 years. What an amazing experience that was. They are still my best friends. I sang for two years with another great quartet, Jada. I also sang for about 2 hours with the infamous Last Second. We regretfully decided not to stay together, especially since we're all in other quartets. Currently, I am singing with a quartet called Kindred Sound. Kindred Sound is a blast, because I get to sing with my mom and my sister, AND I get to sing baritone. Yes, I've gone over to the dark side.
Words or phrases I overuse: "Actually," "Seriously," and "Hilarious." Robin Williams could probably tell you more -- she keeps track.
The best thing about barbershop: Without a doubt, the friendships.
What else you should know about me: I'm a reading specialist in an elementary school. I've recently begun teaching private voice and piano. My husband and I have started to create learning tracks for barbershop songs (hint, hint). I can read, watch a movie, and carry on a conversation at the same time. Seriously.
