Not in a quartet? That's OK! The QT workshop includes group classes and small coaching sessions where observers are welcome and, trust me, you will learn tons! This is, quite possibly, the best opportunity to learn from our amazing regional faculty in a very intimate and casual setting. You will be surprised how quickly the coaches can isolate key factors that make a big difference in the sound of each singer and quartet. And, you won't be surprised to realize that 99% of what you learn applies to you too!

Join us for a wonderful weekend.

The Quartet Workshop is a wonderful place for quartets just starting out--it gives you much needed coaching which most new quartets can't afford and it puts you with many other wonderful quartets and people you wouldn't otherwise meet. It's also a great place for observers, whether you are in a quartet or not, because we all learn by watching almost as much as participating. Our quartet went for many years (we were together 13) and we loved the experience. Sherry Crawford

(retired)
When my quartet was unable to attend together, I went as an observer because there’s so much to learn from watching others being coached – up close! Afterward, I brought the ideas and tools home to share with my quartet. Denice French
Runnin' Wild! Quartet
QTW observer for 4 years in a row. This is why I attend QTW and chorus coaching sessions as an OBSERVER.

I am a musical leader, learning how to assist individual singers and give PVIs

To train my 'A' level ears. Whether in Chorus, quartet, or practicing at home, I want to hear the difference between good (B+), better(A-), and best(A). Doesn't matter if I am on the risers or watching, I want to KNOW when it's right or when it regresses back to muscle memory, so that I can acknowledge what's happening and encourage singers around me to do it right every time.

Learn about teaching the tools and techniques to improve vocal production.
The tools are used in different ways, the coaches describe them with different words, and each coach teaches and encourages in a different manner depending on the level and personality of the singer.

Preparation for MY opportunity to sing in a quartet. How to maintain consistent resonance and ring in my voice,
which tools to use for working on unit sound, chord balancing, and vowel matching for sections, quartets, and choruses.

Future Quartet Member
You should definitely attend Region 23's Quartet Workshop because it's a unique opportunity to bond with fellow quartet members, learn from one another and/or observe others growing in a laid back, fun environment! Tammy Stuck

This past weekend was great! My quartet, Sunny Daze, enjoyed the sessions, the coaching, and the show! The YWIH group was enthusiastic and talented - an encouraging future for our hobby!
For those who missed the weeken, I certainly recommend it for next year!
