There are eight Coordinators on the Regional Management Team who serve in two-year terms. Each year, four positions are elected or appointed. Incumbent team members must reapply if they want to continue on the team. Team members can serve a maximum of three consecutive two-year terms (6 years). Elections are held during the fall to filling the positions whose terms begin the following May 1st . Because of a change in SAI rules in April 2009, 4 positions are being adjusted to a different election/appointment cycle. Any member of the region (including a CAL member) who is in good standing with the chapter, regional and international organizations is eligible to submit an application for any position on the RMT. For candidates for the Directors’ Coordinator position, experience as an associate, assistant or front-line director is recommended, but not required.



Timeline

January	RMT	Appoint Nominating Committee
February - August	RMT, Nominating Committee	Publicize openings, provide applications, solicit applicants
September	Nominating Committee	Review all applications. Prepare slate for elected offices. Nominating Committee shares applications and a summary of evaluations with the RMT so international appointments can be recommended and regional appointments can be chosen.
By Sept 30	Nominating Committee	Appoint chair of Tellers Committee (if Regional Election year)
By Oct 15	RMT	Review of applicants for international appointment and determine recommendations to send to international; sent by Communications Coordinator (If Internaional Appointment year)
By Nov 1	Nominating Committee	Prepare election information and ballots and distribute to choruses, directors, CAL members, as appropriate
By Dec 15	Tellers Committee	Ballots received by Chair of Tellers Committee; Tellers Committee meets
Late Dec	Nominating Committee	Results announced to candidates for elected positions
By Jan	RMT	Regonal appointments finalized for upcoming fiscal year; results communicated to applicants and region by Feb 1.
