What it's like to be an Associate
May 16 2008, 9:47 AM EDT
I've enjoyed being an Associate with the RMT--it's really eye-opening to see all the work and thinking that goes on behind the scenes in our region. The dedication of the RMT, and their willingness to serve in what can be thankless tasks, is amazing. As "Molly Member" sometimes it easy to forget the work that has to happen to generate an education event or contest or a newsletter or...or...or. So I'd lke to say THANKS to the RMT and recommend that if you are interested in learing more about the management of the region, consider being and Associate! If you have questions (or comments from past Associates) please share! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

This is a great opportunity for those intersting in serving on the regional level! On another another note, there is such a thing as being an "associate" member of a chorus. Having been an Associate of SOA at one time in my life, I can tell you that I am truely thankful for it. It provided an opporutnity for me to continue being a caring member of my chorus for a time I wasn't able to physically able to support it fully. I think it's a great way for members to retain their affiliation with thier chorus(es) while taking a personal breather. It also shows the member that the chorus cares more about the person than the membership - which I think is extremely relevant to membership success. Afterall, we love to grow but it's more important that we love those that we grow with! 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
