1. RE: Let's talk foundation - Pancake? Liquid? Mineral?

I'd be most interested in this question too. What does your chorus or quartet use and how is it working for you???

2. Mineral Foundation

We (Tessitura) tried the mineral foundation for QT competition (our choruses uses pancaked) and we really liked how it looked and felt. No one in the audience or judges seemed to notice anything different (like "why didn't your wear base?") so I think it played OK under the lights It certainly felt much better than pancake to wear---we put on a LOT of light layers....anyone else try mineral powder?

We used Maybelline Mineral Powder in Medium (we are all very fair, so this was "dark" for us).....also used some L'oreal bronzer in mineral powder. I've used Bare Escentuals powder in "real life" and I think the Maybelline is not quite a good quality (the powder is a little coarser)...but for performance, the $6 price tag for the Maybelline was a definitely plus!!

I wear the mineral from Bare Escentuals and love it. It covers more than I ever thought possible and not heavy at all. Wish I had known about it when we competed! I also quit wearing those awful lashes but put on about four coats of mascara and black eyeliner -not over the entire lid but about half way to the corner. Very stagy! That came from a Miss America chaperone in our chorus!
